We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as School-Based Speech Pathologist Assistants in Sevier, Monroe and Blount Counties. As a Speech Pathologist Assistant, you will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to support students with speech and language disorders, enabling them to achieve their communication goals and succeed academically. This is a full-time position on a school schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting screenings, assessments, and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.

  • Implement therapeutic interventions and strategies prescribed by the Speech-Language Pathologist to address students' individual needs.

  • Provide direct support to students in individual or small group settings.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders.

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and therapy sessions in accordance with school and district policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational or clinical settings preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques and approaches to meet the diverse needs of students with speech and language disorders.

  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
