We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as School-Based Speech Pathologist Assistants in Sevier, Monroe and Blount Counties. As a Speech Pathologist Assistant, you will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to support students with speech and language disorders, enabling them to achieve their communication goals and succeed academically. This is a full-time position on a school schedule.
Responsibilities:
Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting screenings, assessments, and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
Implement therapeutic interventions and strategies prescribed by the Speech-Language Pathologist to address students' individual needs.
Provide direct support to students in individual or small group settings.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and therapy sessions in accordance with school and district policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational or clinical settings preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to adapt therapy techniques and approaches to meet the diverse needs of students with speech and language disorders.
Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
